Olives Project International (OPI) is a non-profit organization, the vision of Ms. Yongor Olive Morris who currently serves as the Executive Director. The vision came about after she visited several impoverished communities in her home country, Liberia and saw that there was a lack of basic needs.
Upon her return to the US, she was able to convince family and friends to support her vision. She received donations of clothing, shoes, educational supplies, beddings, towels, and personal care from her friends and church family at Truth Chapel in Loganville, Georgia which were later shipped to Liberia.
Another need that was identified from her visit to Liberia was the lack of basic educational supplies such as desks, chairs, and other school supplies. Through the generous contribution of family and friends, 50 armchairs were donated to the 12th grade class at the Assembly of God High School early 2019.
Due to the initial participation of family and friends, Ms. Morris established Olives Project International (OPI). In December,2019 the organization was officially registered as a 501c-3 non-profit.
