Chairs donated to Gaylila Public School – Margibi County, Liberia 12_22
The Chairs for Liberia program was launched in early June 2019 in Liberia, West Africa. The Calvary Mission Assembly of God School in Jacob Town, Paynesville Montserrado County, Liberia was the first proud recipient of 50 chairs.
The provision of chairs to the students’ population in Liberia is a huge challenge, especially in the wake of the rapid economic constraints in the country. The lack of sufficient chairs in both private and public schools is a contributing factor to the high cost of tuition where students are asked to provide an arm-chair per academic school year; this added cost has created a rapid decrease in youth enrollment.
In an effort to help alleviate the shortage of arm-chairs in schools in the country being rocked by abject poverty, Olives Project International (OPI) launched a 500 annual chair project for Liberian schools in fulfillment of its educational program.
