Sense of co-ownership is an imperative aspect of community development that must be encouraged at all levels of community projects that’s why OPI partners with community leaders and other relevant stakeholders to ensure sustainability of its projects. Safe drinking water is an essential element to maintaining good health globally. Hence, the installation of hand pumps and the construction of pit latrines in needed communities in rural Liberia are among several community-based projects that OPI has embarked in collaboration with community leaders.
